It is well-known that the French are masters at fine-dining considering the taste, decoration and variety. French way of cooking and serving, either traditional or inventive, formed the style and set the standards of luxury restaurants around the world.
There are more than 2200 restaurants with a one or more Michelin stars in the world. More than a quarter of the all Michelin-starred restaurants are in France. It is no surprise that the largest portion of them are in Paris.
You could order right from the menu (a la carte) as you wish or sign up for a tasting menu at many of these places. Usually, they are pretty expensive but at different levels. Good news, you may find three most budget-friendly (but still as delicious) options in Paris at the end of our list.

1. Le Pré Catelan
This is one of the most famous restaurants in the world, with 3 Michelin stars... A rich tasting menu and a-la-carte selections, in a 19th century pavilion, inside one of the largest parks of Paris, Bois de Boulogne.
Serving Lunch and Dinner from Tuesday to Saturday 12:00 - 13:30 & 19:30-21:30
2. Alléno Paris au Pavillon Ledoyen
This restaurant is located in a pavilion from 18th century between the Louvre Museum and the Eiffel Tower, a favorite place of the leaders of the French revolution.
It is now crowned with Michelin stars now, with its avant garde French cuisine.
Open for dinner from Thursday to Monday from 19:30 to 22:00 and for lunch on Thursday and Friday from 12:30 to 2:00.
3. Akrame
Akrame is a two-Michelin-stared establishment in the 16th arrondissement, located near to the famous Opera Garnier. Its style is rather modern and exclusive, seating a mere 20 diners.
Monday to Friday : Lunch 12-14, Dinner 20-22
4. Le Chateaubriand
This is maybe the cutest restaurant with a Michelin Star in Paris. It is on Avenue Parmentier nearby Canal Saint Martin that is one of the most trendy and vibrant neighborhoods of Paris.
If you are looking for friendly staff serving creative and experimental food, Le Chateaubriand might be a perfect fit.
Tuesday to Sunday, Dinner 19 -23
5. L’Astrance
This two-Michelin-Starred Restaurant is a big time local favorite. Despite being spacious, it is harder to find an available table here.
They have an inventive menu, detailed plates and particularly good wine pairing.

6. Epicure
Epicure is nearby the Champs-Elysées Avenue, inside the beautiful Bristol Hotel. Chef, Eric Fréchon has established Epicure Restaurant in 1998 and got 3 Michelin stars in the next 10 years.
Everyday only Dinner, 19:30 - 21:30
7. Restaurant Guy Savoy
Guy Savoy is a celebrity of the world gastronomy. And, his restaurant is in an 18th century building right in the middle of Paris (very close to everywhere like Notre Dame or the Louvre Museum). According to many rankings and lists, Guy Savoy is the best restaurant of the world.
Tuesday to Friday Lunch from 12:00 to 14:00, Dinner 19:00 to 22:30
8. Atelier de Joel Robuchon
L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon is the name of two restaurants of the same world-famous chef. The late Chef Joel Robuchon had piled more than 30 stars in last 50 years and 4 are belonging this duo. One is quite near Arc de Triomphe and the other is near Orsay Museum near Saint-Germain.
Keep in mind while making a reservation, you can opt for the counter to observe the cooking part or a table to to keep it more private to your selves. Vegetarian menu is one of the best of Paris' upscale fine-dining places.
Open everyday, lunch 11:30 - 15:30 and dinner 18:30 - 24:00
9. L’Ambroisie
The name L'Ambroise (Ambrosia) comes from the Greek mohtology, which was the vitalizing food of gods at the Mount Olympos. One of the most historical spots in Paris, Place the Vosgues presents this high-end classic French restaurant that has kept its three stars since 1988.
10. Kei
In the middle of Paris, almost neighboring to the Louvre Museum, Restaurant Kei is run by the the first Japanese chef awarded with 3 stars in the Michelin guide. Its sophisticated kitchen based on the French cuisine and fused with powerful Japanese touches.
Tuesday - Saturday 12:30 - 13:30 - 19:45 - 21:15
11. Le Taillevent
Le Taillevent is a more than 70 years old, classic Parisian stage of gastronomy close to Champs Elysées. Both its decoration and menu are based on classics reformed by creative and modern touches.
Monday to Friday, Lunch 12:00 - 14:00 and Dinner 19:00 - 22:00
12. Anne
Place de Vosges is a 17th century royal residence in the middle of the Marais Neighborhood. Inside the pavilion of Anne of Austria, who was the Queen of France, a young chef Matthieu Pacaud runs a hidden gem of French cuisine.
Unlike the extravagance of other historic royal buildings, this place feels quite warm. It does not have the largest menu but the selections of the day are all seasonal.
Wednesday - Saturday, Lunch 12:30 - 14:00, Dinner 19:00 - 22:00
13. Septime
Septime is a new and popular member of the Michelin Guide. Slightly out of the major attractions, it located between the Bastille Square and Pére-Lachaise. It is so loved by the locals so it is difficult an available table in this restaurant for some weeks.
Thanks to its own agricultural production, it was awarded as the Sustainable Restaurant of the Year in 2017. The veggie dishes are especially good.

14. Le Rigmarole, Paris 11th
Le Rigmarole is a family run restaurant. Bites from a Japanese style grill the essential part of their affordable tasting menus. They serve small portions of multiple dishes without much of a decoration. You may pick the wood counter next to the grill or tables at the wall side.
Wednesday to Sunday, Dinner 19:30 - 23:00
15. La Table d'Eugène
La Table d'Eugene is a rising star as an affordable restaurant in the charming Montmartre. A young chef offers a simple but delicious tasting menus with 5 to 8 plates, of which variety changes in accordance with the seasons. This means that fresh flavors are guaranteed.
Tuesday to Saturday, Lunch 12:00 - 14:00, Dinner 19:00 - 21:30
Bonus : Frenchie
Frenchie's concept resembles more to a "Vine Bar" with excellent food. It was just awarded tis first star in 2019 following its success in Paris. This warm and cozy plsce offers one of the most affordable tasting menus comparing to other starred restaurants.
